Accessible and Inaccessible Sections

You will be able to go to Sarutobi and Nidandaki for a limited time from October 19th to November 17th.
＜General Information＞
・Passable hours　 9:30～15:30
・Boat operating hours　 10:00～15:00

During stomy weather, trails may be closed temporarily.
When trails are closed, barricades will be set up.

The following section is closed.
Please do NOT enter.

How to Visit Each Scenic Spot in Sandankyo on foot

◆From the Main Entrance
　・To Nagabuchi … Short walk
　・To Akadaki … About 20 min.
　・To Kurobuchi … About 50 min.
　　※Kurobuchi boat and restaurant available(Paid).

◆From Kurobuchi
　・To Mizunashi Entrance … About 50 min.

◆From Mizunashi Entrance
　・To Sandandaki … About 30 min.
　・To Sarutobi and Nidandaki … About 30 min.
　　※Sarutobi boat available(Paid).
　　※You CANNOT go to Nidandaki without taking a Sarutobi boat.

Sandankyo Boat Operation

There are two sightseeing boats.
◇Kurobuchi boat
◇Sarutobi boat

These boats does not operate every day.
They may be cancelled due to weather or rising water levels.

How to Access Sandankyo

【Public Transport】
◆To the Main Entrance
　A Hiroden bus bound for Sandankyo’s Main Entrance operates for visitors to use.

◇Hiroshima Bus Center (Arriving and Departing)
・Express bus (4 buses bound for Sandankyo, 2 buses bound for Hiroshima/day)
・Local bus (6 buses bound for Sandankyo, 8 buses bound for Hiroshima/day)

◇JR Kabe Station (Arriving and Departing)
・Local bus (1 buses bound for Sandankyo, 2 bus bound for Kabe Station/day)
※At present, you CANNOT reach Sandankyo’s Mizunashi Entrance via public transport.

【Car】
◆To the Main Entrance（about 15min.）
　From Togouchi IC, take National Route 191 and turn left at the Sandankyo branch.

◆To Mizunashi Entrance（about 40min.）
　From Togouchi IC, take National Route 191 and then take the Mizunashi road.

Other Information

　・There is no outdoor lighting through Sandankyo, so the recommended time for walking
　　through the gorge is 7:30-17:00. Please return to the main entrance by 17:00.
　・Be careful as some cell phone service providers may not have reception inside
　　Sandankyo.
　・Kurobuchiso is the only dining spot within Sandankyo.
